What is the best way to get to Kiawah Island Golf Resort?
- Fly into Charleston International Airport (CHS) and either rent a car to drive or Uber/Lyft/Rideshare yourself to the resort. The drive from CHS to the resort is 45 minutes without traffic.
- Drive yourself from your nearby city or state directly to the resort. There is complimentary parking at your villa and around the resort!
Where do I go when I arrive to the resort?
- When approaching the main gate, use the LEFT LANE to stop at the gatehouse and inform security you are here for the NASCA conference.
- They will verify and issue a car pass as needed. Keep the pass visible on the drivers side of dashboard during your visit.
- Once you enter the resort, head directly to Villa check-in at 1 Vacation Wy, Kiawah Island, SC 29455. The front gate will provide you with a map and directions.
Can I drive my car and park on the resort?
- Yes, each villa has a complimentary designated parking spot and there is plenty of parking around the resort.
How do I get around the resort?
- The resort has complimentary shuttles running from 7am - 11pm every day.
- To request a shuttle from your current location to your desired location, call the number provided at check-in and a shuttle will arrive within 5-10 minutes.
- NASCA will provide transportation in between all scheduled sessions and events.
What time is check-in/check-out?
- Villa check in time is 4:00PM. Check out is 10:30AM.
Are we staying at the Sanctuary Hotel?
- No, the NASCA room block consists of individual villas that are separate from the Sanctuary Hotel.
- If you are booking your own lodging, you are more than welcome to book at the Sanctuary Hotel.
I'm interested in playing golf outside of the Conference schedule, how do I schedule this?
- We encourage you to reserve a tee-time at one of the 5 beautiful resort courses! You can book your tee-time directly here.
- Reserve your tee time soon as spots will fill up!
Will meals be provided by NASCA during the Conference?
- Yes, breakfast, snacks, and lunch will be provided on all days there is content (Wednesday - Friday (no lunch on Friday)).
- Dinner will be provided on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday dinner will be on your own.
What is the attire for the conference and evening activities?
- Daytime conference attire is resort casual. The temperatures in May will be in the 80s, so please dress accordingly and keep in mind we'll be inside the conference center for all of our sessions.
- Welcome Reception @ Mingo Point - Dress casually and comfortable! We will be outside along the banks of the Kiawah River and on softer ground, so heels are not recommended.
- Afternoon Activities - Athletic attire is best for the outdoor activities. Expect warm weather and some light physical activity!
- An Unstructured Evening in Charleston - Casual and comfortable.
Can I familiarize myself with the resort ahead of time?
- Yes! Please find the interactive resort map here.
- Most of our sessions will take place at the West Beach Conference Center.
- Villas are scattered throughout the island and some may be up to a 20-minute drive away from the Conference Center. Please schedule your shuttle and travel time accordingly.
